N+ headshots
A separate counter from kills. When the source did not store headshots, the rate is n/a rather than estimated.
A headshot line asks how many of a player's kills were headshots in one map. It is a different statistic from kills — a player on 24 kills can have 8 headshots or 18, and the two lines are graded independently.
Why the counter moves
- Weapon mix. AWP-heavy maps push headshot counts down even in a high-kill map.
- Role. Entry players and support players take different fights at different ranges.
- Sample availability. A map without a stored headshot count contributes nothing, so the sample is often smaller than the kill sample.
Reading the rate honestly
Because the sample is frequently thinner than the kill sample, check the map count before you lean on a headshot rate. A rate that survives the sample floor is usable; one that does not is not shown at all, and an average is withheld unless there are at least five maps with stored headshots.
Questions
- Why is the headshot column showing n/a?
- Because the source that ingested that map did not record a headshot count. ClutchIQ shows n/a rather than inventing a number, and the map is excluded from headshot averages.
- Is a headshot line correlated with a kill line?
- Partly. More kills generally means more chances at headshots, but weapon choice and role break the relationship often enough that the two are graded as separate lines.
Related terms
- N+ kills
Per map, per player, one threshold. A 20+ line and a 22.5+ line are different bets about the same person.
- K/D and K/D/A
A ratio, not a threshold. Useful for form, poor as a betting line, and never a substitute for a count.
